How to check Energy and a transaction in TronScan

Open tronscan.org and paste your address into the search. Energy and Bandwidth are shown in the Resources tab, along with whether the Energy is your own or delegated. Delegation from a service appears as a DelegateResource transaction.

Check a USDT transfer status by its TxID. SUCCESS means the transfer went through. FAILED means it did not, and your USDT is still in the wallet. If you would rather not dig through the interface, check the address with us: the checker reads the same public data and shows it more simply.

What you need

• Your public address. Starts with the letter T, 34 characters.
• The transaction TxID, if you are checking a specific transfer. Your wallet shows it in the transaction history.

You do not need a seed phrase or private key to check anything. TronScan works only with public data.

How to check Energy on an address

1. Open tronscan.org.
2. Paste the address into the search bar and press Enter.
3. Find the Resources tab.
4. Look at the Energy line: how much Energy is available right now.
5. Next to it you can see where it comes from: your own (staked), or delegated by another address.
6. Bandwidth is there too: what is left of the free daily allowance and any delegated Bandwidth.

How much Energy a transfer needs

An address gets about 600 units of Bandwidth free per day. There is no free Energy.

If Resources shows less Energy than needed, the transfer will burn TRX or fail with FAILED – OUT OF ENERGY.

How to check that Energy from the service arrived

After an instant purchase, Energy usually arrives in 3–10 seconds.

1. Open your address in TronScan.
2. Go to the transactions list.
3. Find a record of type DelegateResource. This is a standard TRON protocol function (Stake 2.0) that lets one address pass resources to another.
4. Check the delegator address. It is the service's address.
5. Check that Energy in the Resources tab has grown by the amount you bought.

Delegation gives the service no rights to your wallet. The Energy is simply available to your address for a while. After 1 hour the service takes it back, and unused Energy is not refunded.

How to check a USDT transfer by TxID

1. Copy the TxID from your wallet history.
2. Paste it into the TronScan search.
3. Look at the status:
   • SUCCESS — the transfer is recorded, the recipient has the USDT.
   • FAILED — the transfer did not happen. Your USDT is still with you; only the fee was charged.
4. Check the recipient and amount in the token transfer section.
5. The resources line shows how much Energy and Bandwidth were used and how much TRX was burned.

What FAILED – OUT OF ENERGY means

The address did not have enough Energy, and not enough TRX to burn instead. Burned TRX is not returned. For a new attempt, get Energy in advance. Details in FAILED – OUT OF ENERGY.

If the transfer is SUCCESS but the recipient does not see it

• Compare the recipient address in TronScan with the one you were given. Do the first and last 4 characters match?
• If the recipient is an exchange, crediting may take time on its side.
• More in transfer sent but not received.

If there is no Energy even though you paid

1. Check which address the TRX was sent from. Energy goes to the address that sent the payment. If you paid from an exchange, the exchange has the Energy.
2. Check the amount. The instant purchase tiers are fixed: 2.5, 5 or 7.5 TRX.
3. Check the time. Energy lasts 1 hour, after which the service takes it back.
4. If everything is right but there has been no Energy for over a minute, contact support and include the TxID of the payment.

Resources in TronScan update almost instantly. If the page has been open for a while, just refresh it.

FAQ

My wallet does not show Energy, but TronScan does. Which one is right? TronScan shows network data directly. Many wallets display resources with a delay or not at all.

There was Energy, but the transfer still burned TRX. Why? Most likely there was less Energy than needed. For example, 65,000 for a new address that needs 131,000.
